    The Emergence of Sexology in the German-Speaking World

    Explores expressions of gender identities and changing notions of sexual health from the time of German unification in 1871 through the Nazi years. Engages in intersectional discussions of LGBTQ+ narratives and medical studies through the analysis of the work of German-speaking sexologists and examination of how their theories were taken up in the popular culture of the time.
